Sunday: Enjoyed a great concert presented by the EWHS Wind Symphony and the District Honor Jazz Band at Edmonds City Park. These are dedicated musicians who are willing to perform even though school is not in session!
Monday: Attended a site tour and topping ceremony for the new Oak Heights Elementary, which will open in fall 2026. The library will have a great view of the forest, and the extensive geothermal heating and cooling system will protect the environment while lowering operating costs. Signed my name on the panel that will be mounted at the highest point.
Tuesday: Attended our first board meeting of the year. Proud that we adopted a resolution recognizing Orange Shirt Day/Every Child Matters Day at the end of September.

Wednesday: Interviewed for yet another endorsement.
Thursday: Attended the Chase Lake PTSA Craft Market which helped raise funds for an outdoor education experience for sixth graders. Such a shame that we can't afford to fund this as a district! Then, it was on to the Port of Edmonds to enjoy the playing of the MTHS Jazz Combo.

Friday: Volunteered to use my ninja librarian skills to help sort and arrange books that were donated to the EEA's New Teacher Warehouse.

Saturday: Joined Superintendent Miner and Communications Director Campbell at the Edmonds School District booth at the Edmonds Summer Market. Nice to chat with community members, staff, and families that stopped by.
