Banned Book Bingo!

Join Marko Liias, Lauren Davis, Cindy Ryu to support the candidacy of 

Thom Garrard for Edmonds School Board Position 4.

We will be celebrating the freedom to read with an evening of Banned Book Bingo,

in which the numbers are replaced with the titles of frequently banned or challenged books.

Book bans and challenges are on the rise in our country. Targeted books often feature characters of color and/or people who are 2SLGBTQIA+. Our students are diverse and deserve to have access to books which reflect their lived experience. We must continue to respect the professionalism and judgement of our district’s librarians in selecting appropriate books for our school libraries.
